James Mastronardi is currently serving as the owner and Chairman of Ultratan Inc., which has become the most popular indoor tanning salon business in North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina. James Mastronardi received the Smart Tan Industry Achievement Award and Medallion for his work in the field.

James Mastronardi is the owner and Chairman of Ultratan Inc., which he founded in 1990 with only a single location consisting of only five tanning beds. Now, each location has six different beds for customers to choose from depending on the tan they're looking for. He has been the recipient of the Smart Tan Industry Achievement Award more than once and has received several other awards for his work in the indoor tanning industry.
