Second World War. The Netherlands has been captured by the Germans. 

Noor is a girl who lived in Amsterdam, she was only ten years old when the Germans took her to a concentration camp for Jews, it's called  the Hölle (hell). As soon as she arrived Noor and her parents got seperated from eachother, they were taken to another part of the camp. Noor meets a boy in the camp, his name is Guus. Noor really likes Guus. Noor, Guus and Noors new bestfriend Marloes succeed to get in contact with Noors father. But her father brings her the most terrible news : her mother has been transported to a camp in Germany. This is a beautiful and emotional story about a girl desperate to find her mom.
