Lance Carmike is a african american 17 year old high school senior. He faces everything that a normal teen would face. Peer pressure, bullies, fake and 2 faced friends, and to make matters worst he's a in the closet gay guy. he doesn't want anyone to know but he wants exception from everyone around him.
Nicki (Lance's mom) tells lance they are moving. this is lances opportunity to be able to come out the closet. instead of living "the good life" in Detroit he is spiraled downward the wrong path!
