This enjoyable but irritable story follows the somewhat love life of Ever-Lai Johnson. 
Ever-Lai is 16 and a kind girl at heart but she also has a barbarous temper, and you wouldn't want to see it. 
Even though she's the 4th most hated person at school, she doesn't really give a damn. She gets stuck into her school work and trys to enjoy life.   
Moreover, Ever-Lai isn't managing her feelings very well, they're a mess, as well as it doesn't help when the schools most popular guy starts to pick a callous war with Lai that will end in an awful concussion. Furthermore, things get worse for Lai when she finds out the popular guy/enemy is actually an old childhood friend called Rhydian, that she will be living with very soon, with her father and his husband
They both realise they're each others worst arch enemy, she the Sherlock; he the Moriarty.  However they will face some implausibly difficult challenges together. 
Will they become friends? Or the death of eachother? Or lovers?
