In a post-apocalyptic world, ravaged by nuclear war, massive earthquakes and ice-cap melt off, we find our main character, Noah.
The Book of Noah has to do with the climate change and the depletion of the ozone layer. It takes place in the near future, in the year 2020. The earth is a vast wasteland of cracked dirt, wasted trees, and the heat is unbearable. The main character is introduced in the winter and the temperature reaches 130 degrees at the peak of the day. Deadly heat, roving bands of cannibals, and radically malformed humans called Mutes, all share the wasteland with Noah. The novel switches from the main character's time surviving in this wasteland back to his life in 2009 with Nikki, his beautiful co-worker. The story follows Noah and his pursuit of everyday survival and takes a captivating twist towards the end when he discovers a group of people whom he must evade. Upon doing so he fnds proof that his lost love Nikki is alive and waiting for him expectantly in Alaska.
