Merlin (Arthur's POV) is basically the tale of BBC Merlin completely through his point of view. He doesn't know about Merlin's magic, doesn't know about Morgana going dark before it was obvious, and he never knows what really goes on. Now for those who might not watch the show but are still curious...

Arthur Pendragon, crown prince of Camelot, had lived the life he was meant to for twenty-five years. Everything starts to change when Merlin moved to town though. The commoner is witty, honest, and the bravest person Arthur had ever met. Then Merlin and Arthur are forced into a relationship neither are exactly happy to be in. Merlin is his new manservant- annoying him all day, all week, and until he is allowed to fire the godforsaken villager. Of course, that time might come later rather than sooner with King Uther's stubbornness as a factor.

Merthur AU (Set around early season 4) Arthur Pendragon is the new king of Camelot having assumed the throne after his father's death at the hands of his sister, Morgana. One day while out on a hunt, a Druid appears, telling him of his destiny; a man named Emrys who resides in Ealdor. The Druid advises the king to seek out the man, for Arthur's destiny cannot begin without him, for he is Morgana's doom. Merlin is a young warlock living in the small farming village of Ealdor. His life is quiet. He spends his days toiling away at the fields with his best friend Will while honing his magical talents with the help of his mentor, Gaius, the physician from Camelot who visits on occasion. When he meets Arthur Pendragon, he can't help but hate the prat. Of course, until he gets to know him better. Meanwhile, Morgana scours the kingdom for the sorcerer Emrys. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less. As their paths cross in the usually uneventful village, it becomes a race between the son and daughter of Uther Pendragon to either save or destroy Emrys.

A dangerous smile lingered on her lips, watery green eyes gleaming with malice as she tilted her head to survey her prisoner with mock sympathy. ~ Heads up, this fic is as straight as a ruler, so don't be expecting gay smut.
