Cole Bás is a sixteen year old boy living in the small town of Fides; a weak society, whose people are easily manipulated by those standing above them in power. Naive and god-fearing, all citizens' daily lives depend on religion and the church. "I lived in a small town. The few people aware of its existence, knew it by the name of Fides; the town of Fides. A wretched community controlled by god-obsessed psychopaths. We had no mayor, no officials, no true authorities. The citizens of Fides were brainwashed by the church, we were all under the reign of the Priest."
Not all believed in the ways of the church... and those who did not, suffered the consequences. Cole was the worst victim, for he was the Church's most valuable altar boy. Forced by his mother ever since he was thirteen, Cole was condemned to serve the Church, and the Priest; also known as "the Father." Eager and willing at first, Cole made no objections. Though, soon after joining, he was bombarded with the harsh, yet true reality of the Father's nature. After mass, the boy's deepest and darkest nightmares were awakened. He was beaten, molested, abused, raped... He no longer had the option to leave, and there was nobody he could confide to. Those he tried telling never believed him. Having to endure this never-ending anguish, Cole develops a passionate hate for the Church, the Father and all who followed him.
Three years later, living through this hellish nightmare, Cole's mind is now at its mercy. When all sense of hope seems to have vanished, out of nowhere, a strange, a new boy moves into town. Shortly after his arrival, he is inducted into the Church crew as a cross bearer. Things suddenly begin to change, for better and for worse.

You scream into the boys face but he doesn't even flinch. His eyes still dark and stormy pools. "I trusted you. Maybe even loved you! What am I? Just a fucking toy to satisfy your musings?" You can't help but let a tear to slip down your flush cheek, allowing it to leave a warm traitorous trail down your face that cools and dries upon contact with the air around you.
