Norah lives in a world filled with nuclear radiation, zombies, and attractive men...but not always in that order. She is a part of an experimental group eternally bound to Operators, machines woven through human bodies to offer aid and information from the moment of birth to the moment of death. 

The zombies are just a side effect of nuclear war.

But these aren't just your everyday, 'bad horror movie with a low budget' zombies. These zombies, or Degenerates, are intelligent and deadly. That was the reason for the construction of the dome, a glass barrier that even the Degenerates couldn't break through. Yet, Norah finds herself dreaming of a world on the outside. A world where Sawyer reigns.

Sawyer is the leader of the quadrant one township, home of the Berserkers. The group of people who aren't afraid to fight the zombies. But their fearlessness comes from Sawyer, who harbors an unbelievable secret.

When Norah's wish comes true and she finds not only herself but also her classmates, trapped on the outside of their glass barricade, will they be able to survive? Or will they embody the phrase 'if you can't beat them, join them'?
