Kate Neil hates to admit it, but she keeps a diary. No, it's not as cliché as it seems, she doesn't keep a record of all the cute boys in school, or write down stalkish information about said boys, it's actually quite the opposite. Her diary is mostly trying to figure out her sexuality. Why does it have to be so damn hard?! When she befriends the secretive and slightly kleptomaniac-ish Xeilia, it becomes a bit easier. Kate can feel herself falling for Xeilia, and she's doing everything in her power to stop it.

But, after a series of events in the course of one day, they are thrown back together, and Kate is given the chance to explain herself. Explain why she was so guarded and why she had closed herself off in the first place. And maybe along the way Kate learns that things aren't always so bad.
