This short story is about a backworld planet in the far-future where civilization is ruled by a galaxy-spanning corporation. There's murder, intrigue, politics, and faster-than-light military ships.

War for Change by Colby101001

Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards. So um this story may be on hold as I have lost interest and have no idea how to continue the story... . (Disclaimer, there is NO smut/inappropriate things, just cute and wholesome~♡ but warning, there may be some dark themes throughout.) . . This story is basically a sonic the hedghog fanfic. It's set in a dystopian reality. im still figuring out everyone's stories even the main plot. But I just go along as my mind pleases. The main 'object' that stirs this story is a plant, named the agony night floret, that infects living things. It was created accidentally in a facility by money hungry mobian scientists and main boss, scarlett the fox. she is the main 'villian', surprsingly not eggman lol. the agony night floret infects mobians, putting them in these stages. first a purple blue rash, then disconfiguration then having the chance to rott and turn into creepy lifeless zombie ish creatures, not hostile but really contagious. They roam around isolated areas. Or, they have the small chance by transforming into these cannibalistic 'flesh-gorgers', coming in different types, 3-4 times bigger than hosts/Mobians size. sonic and his friends travel firstly through the thick, white, winter forests, named 'Nobelwoods' in Nahada, trying to find the facility of where it all happened, while unexpectedly coming across a familiar haze of a huge mossy concrete structure of shadows old-old home. Burnt. It will be told why in the story. I have posted drawings of the characters/unfamiliar characters to understand better of what their appearances looks. thankz for reading this far if u have :) (I'm rambling abt the lore lol) . . . . This is my take on those stories that have only one human male on a planet full of anthros. You know the ones, where a nuke, virus, or/and war that destroyed the human race except for one and for some unexplain reason ten years later furries rule the earth with a fully functioning government and technology. Oh, and sometimes this human has all the powers of comics and mange for also unexplained reason or another. With every character is spelled out on these bio picks before you even read the story, ruining any suspension or mystery the story could have. Sorry, went on a little rant but I have a hard time reading those kinds of stories, so I decided to make my own. So the actual story; A human crash landed onto a alien world where the dominant species are ten feet tall female wolves. Now he have to survive this warrior world that seeks to use him or destroy him, but under his meek facade is something much more then any one could imagine. Hope you enjoy.

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own. For the sake of Wattpad I have divided up the chapters into parts, so everything under "The Glow" is Chapter 1 and so on. This book is is written in the far future were war is raging throughout the world permanently halting all innovations. Humanity wanting to finally bring it all to an end only finds one way to solve it. End humanity as we know it. Governments across the globe found that humanity wasn't what it was before and had become dark and terrible to live in, so to fix that they made a small utopia pulling in families, scientists, and important government officials to create the perfect pair of humans. Those two humans would be trained to kill what humanity has become and start it all over, so the world would be a better place. But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity. This is my first book, so it may have a few mess ups but I hope you enjoy, I have worked hard to at least get this out. If you know of any way I can get this published or how to make it better please tell me. Hope you love it!

But why does my heart feel like it's bleeding? Shouldn't I be hating him and happy that he's on his knees begging me. Escaping My Shadows by dwatkins77

The novel started as a short story that was submitted to a writing contest (didn't win). It is very loosely based upon the Babylon 5 Universe (telepaths, shadows, plethora of different races, etc.). I still continued to think about the story and how it ended without a final resolution (though the story did have an ending, it left a lot of questions about the protagonist). Thanks to the obsession and compulsion I have with writing (it's a blessing and a curse) I decided to continue the story to final resolution. This is it. A race called the Chitoxan came from an unknown area of space and declared war on the races making up the Earth-Alliance. More technically advanced than the races they encounter, the overwhelming power of the shadow vessels results in most battles ending in complete defeat for the Earth-Alliance. Only by massing fire on an individual shadow vessel or, in extremely desperate situations, committing suicide with a ship's reactor overload, can a shadow vessel be defeated. Earth and Earth-alliance colonies are slowly being conquered and occupied by Chitoxa. The humans on these occupied colonies are enslaved and forced to serve the Chitoxan's every need. A young man volunteers for the Space Marines during the Chitoxan war. Upon induction, he discovers that he is 'blessed' with unique abilities. However, these abilities cause his life to be changed drastically and terribly. He is taken away and forced into a never-ending nightmare. After a quick and violent encounter between Earth and Chitoxa, another Earth fleet is beaten and is almost wiped out. The surviving ship gets a lucky shot at an attacking shadow vessel, slicing off one of its appendages. The pain and shock of the loss does something to the human controller of the battle crab....

The Odd Trio (Boy x Fem Reader) by TheLegionFan

The main character for this story will be a mythical species known as a synx. Your most used form being a more human like body but with the tail and ears poking out (yes like a cat girl ik its cringe) but your main beastly form being the full package of a synx. I thought the Synx species would be cool in this case cause they're known for eating kids and with the twins being protecters against demons i thought it would be interesting to have you try to go against your urges and instead help the twins but not be given their trust right away. Also yes I do plan on writing some spicy lemon stuff sooner or later but i wanna build up to that first. Btw I doubt these characters actually have names. It might be the same scenario with bf and gf idk but ill give them names sooner or later to at least put something down. Also Apperently the boy, if I'm not wrong, he has a thick brooklyn accent that i will have to write in dialogue but um...im gonna need help from you guys cause idk what that sounds like or how to write that. The girl had light british accent so its seems I wont have to focus to much on that. Btw DO NOT make me write them banging eachother theyre siblings for god sake and Apperently deities. Also I know these characters are like...asexual I think but hey if people write fanfics of whitty i dont see why im not able to bend the rules a bit to make a lemon scene work cause I know yall be like that dont lie. Also for the Synx part of the character you can imagine what ever you would look like as a synx, you wanna be fully white, have a pattern, have horns imagine all that go for it. Also I will be trying to introduce these characters together and after that I will take requests from people with ideas on what scenario should happen next. Btw yes I know that synx's dont have sex too repopulate nor do they have genders but shhhhhh im gonna make you a girl cause magic shhh ;) also im not the creator of this mod or the characters but I did make this cover.

The Green Eyed's Tale - A Changed Story by LaserGuidedKarma

I've moved into my own projects, I've grown to be more mature, and I've grown out of Changed, in fact, I've sort of taken a slight tint of dislike towards it, I'm still proud of the original book, I won't lie, it was the best I could do in a while, but there's so much better I can write and make. This story helped me create plenty of characters and finetune some already existing character lore I have, in fact, I've been working on an original story for a potential game or animatic utilizing the protagonist of the main book with my refined art skills, it does resemble the original in that it takes place in a facility infested by humanoid-half animal monsters, but that's about it. /// DISCLAIMER END /// Who am I? Who was my family? Where are my friends? Why am I here? This story takes place in an alternate timeline to the Changed video game, but everything remains practically the same. It takes inspiration from Awful Hospital: Seriously the Worst Ever, and combines it with my writing style. This story tries to put aside the transformation fetish aspect of the original game to provide a solid story. Meet our protagonist, you should probably know the drill by now: They awoke at a facility. Weird furry things are trying their best to catch him, but unlike the last person that tried to survive in this facility, he's been lucky enough to have come across several tools to help him out. The story is told through the entries and sketches our protagonist uses to remain calm. This story contains slightly-gratuitous coarse language from our protagonist every so often. Although no sexual content is present in the story, it was built under a furry transformation game, thus it can be slightly uncomfortable to certain groups of people. "Changed" made by DragonSnow.
