Nicoles generation of sixteen year olds is different from her parents. In 2010, her parents could go out freely, to the movies, ball games, or shopping. Now for Nicole in 2043, theres a barcode on her wrist. If she wants to go anywhere with anyone, she has to scan it. If not, The Guards will know and theyll throw her out into The Rurals. Shes been trying her best to be this perfect little teenager, when Ben, a rebel with a soft side for Nicole comes rolling in on a Harley. And little does Nicole know, shes in for a living hell to be able to be with him and escape the world of Scanners.
