when sixteen-year old danny fenton and his family decide to get away from the rush of the city and take a vacation in a small woodland town in oregon, danny discovers that this town is anything but ordinary, and the people there even more so. meanwhile, dipper and mabel are entranced by the mysterious teenager that shows up in gravity falls one evening.

i do not claim anything before chapter 08 as my own. i wrote this when i was 14 and it was heavily, heavily, HEAVILY influenced by the online comic cold front created by smphantom until i latched onto a different plotline. i have since spoken with the artist and they were very understanding. please check out cold front! it is very, very good.

Don't leave me (billdip)
After a terrible car crash resulting in the death of their parents, 17 year olds Dipper and Mabel Pines are sent back to Gravity Falls to live with their Grunkles. Mabel now hates Dipper, and blames him for the crash, since they were only out getting him his anxiety medication. The Grunkles don't fully agree with Mabels logic, but are still distant with Dipper, for they think he's a freak because of his anxiety. And so in the one place he felt he could truly call home, Dipper was now alone and hated by the "family" that once loved him. One night, Dipper overhears the family talking about how useless he is and, doing the only thing he knows, he runs. After being trapped in Dipper's mind, Bill realizes that maybe threatening and killing the boy wouldn't be as entertaining as manipulating him. After all, his family had set up the perfect board for him, all he had to do was move a few pieces. At some point that neither Bill nor Dipper could pinpoint, the two become obsessed (in different ways) with each other. Bill loved the dependency of Pinetree on him. And Dipper loved the attention he got from the triangle. In the end, things start to drastically shift in the teen's mind and his new best friend is there to guide him. Mabel isn't the best sister, but she tries. It's not like Dipper's the best brother either. They both have messed up ways of dealing with their trauma, but she doesn't realize just HOW messed up her brother has become. {Please note that this book contains graphic depictions of abuse, strangulation, trauma responses, and hospitalization trauma, along with dark humor, non-consensual medical treatment, death etc. Reader discretion advised.} (This may not be accurate - it is fanfiction.
