He only did it and he only thought about her survival. Because he already lost his daughter's carrier. Which means that he already lost the love of his life which is his sparkmate. In this story there's this little girl named Daisy who lives on earth. But she's human but she doesn't even know that she is Cybertronian and that she is the daughter of the almighty Megatron and the leader of the Decepticons. But Daisy feels like she doesn't belong here and she feels like that, she belongs somewhere else and that she doesn't feel like she's even human but something else but much bigger than she realizes. But when Megatron discovers her he is looking at her and he notices that she looks familiar and doesn't know why. Until he sees a toy that she has in her hand. He gently picks the toy up and he looks at it until he sees a description that is written in Cybertronian language he reads it. It says to SilverMega my little princess, love sire. Suddenly it hits Megatron that Daisy is SilverMega and that she is his sparkling, that he sent away in an escape pod a long time ago before the war broke out and started on Cybertron.
