The year is 2026, and tension between the two main political parties of America is nearly at breaking point. In the city of New Athens, Virginia, the tension is seen everywhere and the powerful new Mayor Branson Braddock hopes to change  that.

  Matthew, the Mayor's son, always wanted to be average. To be like everyone else. But ever since his father made his career in politics and law, his life was destined for non-normalcy. Now forced to go to James Public High School for political reasons, he faces immense pressure and loneliness.
  
  Jason, a former school basketball player, fell from local fame after a major incident m. Now an outcast, he has no one, until he sees an another outcast. The two bond quickly and Jason immediately develops a fondness for Matt that is higher than friendship.

  With trouble brewing in New Athens, will the two remain friend and admit their feelings to each other? Or be separated by conflict and Jason's impeding illness? What will happen when they see the Fading Summer.
