When you're failing physics, slowly losing your friends, and getting broken-hearted every day, you tend to make a lot of wrong decisions. Like putting your cellphone number on a paper plane and throwing it out of a hospital window.

For Winter Heights, the laconic girl in school who couldn't move on from her super-hot and famous cliche of a soccer player ex-boyfriend, trusting a stranger who got her number by God knows how is the worst decision she's ever made.

Or perhaps the best.

Together, they were the people who kept each other thriving. She was the ice to his wounds, soothing the pain he tried so hard to hide, while he was the water to her roots, nourishing the parts of her she kept buried deep.
