On a hunting trip Jovian is attacked by a demon destroyed ages ago when the last of the fallen angels were driven into hiding. Angelica is plagued by visions which show the devastation of her family. Joya begins hearing voices that call forth the magical force of wyrd within her, and a being who calls himself Grigori seeks to destroy them all.

Worst of all, their sister Amber, the heir to the Neferis plantation, has been kidnapped.

Accompanied by their tutor Grace the siblings set out in dangerous pursuit across the mystical Great Realms to find Amber. The adventure is one haunted by magic creatures and events as two forces try to help them, and thwart them. With every step they uncover more mystery surrounding their family’s past, and something far worse--an ancient darkness that could threaten their hope of ever seeing Amber alive again.
