Phillipa Gagnier longs for a horse of her own. Her parents own a ranch and breed horses to sell. Busy as always, Phillipa's parents receive a request from an army that wants a horse for their soldier. But the horse that her parents give the army has a strong connection with her. Despite the horse being inseparable from Phillipa, the army takes the horse and trains it.
During the war, something terrible happens. Some of the soldiers vanish and the horses are nowhere to be seen. Phillipa worries for the horses and goes searching for answers by herself. But some people don't want anyone to discover what really happened. And some things don't add up.

Will Phillipa uncover what really happened, or will the mystery remain a mystery?
