I wrote this poem as a final exam for my Pre-Ap English II class back in May of 2014. I remember reading this proudly in front of my 9th period class. I hope that whoever reads this poem thinks twice about who they are and deeply contemplates on what role they play or would like to play in this struggling generation of ours.

The tales of love
This is a series of poems about a woman i was once in love with long ago. Everything was sweet like strawberries at first, but deep down she was just using me as a rebound to get over a broken heart she has. We met in a speech class one semester, I couldn't talk to her, I shyly had someone else to talk to her. long story short, I should have got to know her like should, because she judged me for what had and didn't have. i loved her so much that I knew that she was cheating on me and wanted her to stay, but God removed her out of my life. she done so much wrong to me, but love her even of all her flaws. I wrote this story when I was a freshman in high school. It is horrible, but it was a story that all of my friends got to have input in and they encouraged me to finish it. A group of friends has their lives changed forever after they are kidnapped and experimented on.Complete
