I wrote this poem as a final exam for my Pre-Ap English II class back in May of 2014. I remember reading this proudly in front of my 9th period class. I hope that whoever reads this poem thinks twice about who they are and deeply contemplates on what role they play or would like to play in this struggling generation of ours.

Taste my desire for life and love, adventure and honesty, on my chapped lips and tongue. Drink from me, the light of unseen tomorrows. Empty me of all that I made myself of; what I think I am. I am a huge zap between reality and imagination. Bridge me already. **** Highest ranking in Poetry-#12 ©VioletEden2015
