Adeline Matthews wakes up in a forest with no memories of who she is, where she came from, or how on Earth she got saddled with freaky supernatural powers.

She soon learns that she has been missing for a year, leaving an entire family to mourn her absence. Now, Desperate to find more answers about what happened to her, she takes on the task of a lifetime, but soon finds that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to her past and the people involved in it.
