I wrote this short story (very short, the limit was 500-1000 words max) for a district writing contest and I'd hoped to share it because I'd like my profile active. My apologies that my descriptions are awful, please give it a chance. Fathi is a young Syrian refugee, his father dead, his mother, Amena, and brother, Nizar, both fleeing with him, away from the civil war and violence of Syria. He has run from several places in Europe, only to find himself lost and confused in a crowded refugee camp. This is a Syrian refugee story, but please give it a chance. And like always: Comment/Vote if you like it!
