"You called me a monster, a freak. So... I became one."

Madelief Hatter was her hometown sweetheart. Always nice and kind to others, and nobody thought twice if anything was wrong in her life. But that is where the line stops. Despite the picture perfect facade, Madelief was tortured and abused by her fellow classmates on a daily basis. But the one person who made her snap and drove her deeper into madness was none other than Alistair Liddell, who called her a monster, a freak, something totally inhuman.

And with those words uttered into the air, she became exactly what he called her— a monster. And he's going to pay for it, dead or alive or just barely breathing.

"You're a psychopath! A total nutjob! You should get locked up behind bars where you belong, you demented freak!"

"Oh, I'm not a psychopath, sweetheart. I'm just creative and more fun. And, honey, being locked up in jail is a compliment. Everyone knows that the most creative minds are in prison."
