What happens when narration becomes magic and monsters become stories? When meaning crumbles beneath the whispers of tales, and certainties drown in the din of words, truth wears a thousand faces at the windows of night. Survive. When the untold fades, and the unseen is lost. Endure. As kingdoms fall and life ebbs away, as souls awaken only to cage themselves within the lines of pages. Fight. For what remains is a silent longing to wake again, upon the shores of a dream unborn. ------------------------------------------------------------ A multi-character fantasy tale set in a world that has forgotten how to define itself, where eras chase one another in confusion. Knights confront the unknown, detectives battle dragons, and vampires raise dogs. The stars are wrathful, the kingdoms have fallen, and magic stands stripped bare. ---------------------------------------------------------------- For those who do not like indirect suggestion: A cruel, innovative magic system A dark fantasy that blends classic fantasy, horror, and the supernatural. Long story and slow build (although you can judge it in the second chapter) Multiple characters and a big world Exploiting (inspiration from) myths, epics and legends in worldbuilding Legends from all over the world: Europe, Africa, America, Middle East, Australia, Asia, Ireland etc. Mystery, investigation, and the need to analyze, focus, and use your knowledge and abilities to reach conclusions and form your opinion before the characters do (you are part of the investigation, not just the characters) Warning: "Contains graphic violence" "Not suitable for children"

30 parts Complete Mature
Sixteen-year-old Rose Radcliffe has it all: A nice house; decent spending money; parents who love her enough to buy her anything; an older brother, Luke, who would do anything to protect her; a best friend, Elizabeth, that she can tell anything to; and straight-A's. However, Rose is lacking in several departments: She thinks nothing of her appearance; she is constantly tormented by a trio of girls who will stop at nothing to bring her down; her parents devote more time to their medical practice than to her; her brother joined a fraternity and moved out of the house; her best friend is in love with her older brother and now suddenly has no time for her since they started dating; and her best friends' older brother, David, seems to be exploring the advances of a cheerleader, Amber Seymour, despite saying he's not interested. Not wanting to get all pathetic over a boy, Rose wonders how she should attempt to move on from all that, and wishes that things could be less complicated. However, things go awry when her wish attempts to come true, and Rose quickly backs out of it. However, as time goes on, over a cigarette, Rose then wishes that she could meet her parents before they became workaholics. When she wishes this time, however, her and David are having a fight about her smoking habit, thus propelling them both into 1982, her parents' senior year of high school. Things are not as they seem, for Rose soon discovers she is a dead ringer for her father's cousin (a woman she has never met), and that her father is dating the mother of Amber Seymour, a girl named Roxy, who has as much disdain for her first cousin once removed as Amber has for Rose. Will Rose be able to get her parents together to ensure that she is born? Will Rose and David admit their feelings for one another? Will Rose's first cousin once removed catch on? Find out as Rose's saga begins...

The Hidden World of Nitea [2 | The Other Realms Series]

29 parts Complete

[The Other Realms Series | Book 2] Actions, well-intended or not, have consequences. Some of them may be deathly. One year after the events that happened at Otrâlmondé, the trio reunites in Paris to spend the summer together. When they're not busy sightseeing with their families or hanging out in Eddie's home, the three would head to Nitea to further their training. It seemed that their vacation would go about normally... minus the realm-hopping. Until a hidden curse turns a human girl into glass. And it might be Eddie's fault. With only two weeks to spare before the curse becomes permanent, the trio and their allies go on a scavenger hunt to find a cure. However, with their relatives close by to watch their every move, leaving Earth and coming back unnoticed will not be easy. Will the trio manage to break the curse in time, and do so without getting caught?
