Humanity had different ways of finding their one, their other half, their soulmate, the end of their red string. But they both circle around one word- tattoo.

It's not so much a tattoo as it is a colorful birthmark, and it's not so much an evening drum as it is a song. But they're the easiest to distinguish, unlike those with prophetic dreams, and tangled red strings, or a scent.

Eren has a birthmark of wings, one white and one black, instead of a song in his heart, and his parents don't understand because Grisha had dreams and Carla had a song. And Carla fears for whom he'll love.
