Amarédasse, Daughter of Poseidon by RomancticPrincess
27 parts Complete
Prophesied at birth that she would defeat Poseidon's last remaining enemy once she reached the age of eighteen, Amarédasse has been kept virtually a prisoner in her own home and unaware of the prophecy by orders of her father, Poseidon, while her older brothers and sisters enjoy the freedom that she craves. One day, just before her eighteenth birthday, Amarédasse inadvertently discovers a secret passageway while exploring the palace basement with her cousins, Hebe and Makaria. Once the young mermaid princess uses the passageway to escape she begins to explore the outside world and she comes across a human kingdom whose patron god is none other than her own father. As Amarédasse explores the kingdom she then unknowingly meets its Crown Prince and falls deeply in love with him she is unaware that her father's enemy is watching her every move waiting for an opportunity to strip her of her life. Will Poseidon trust his daughter with the truth and tell her why he kept her locked up her whole life? Will Amarédasse fulfill the prophecy and bring the Golden Age back to all humans and merfolk? Will Amarédasse and her prince live happily ever after like her parents? Read and find out. I dedicate this sequel to my Poseidon fanfiction story to the creator of the Sims 3 machinima trilogy VanityMovies and the entire cast. Yeah, I painted the cover although even I have to admit I'm not much of an artist and I'm still learning how to work that thing.
The War Against Aberon (Rough Draft #1) by SIYwrites
33 parts Complete
Vale Havon and Aberon had been at war for thirty years. Three decades of battle on the Eastern plains of Vale Havon's lands. This is why on the Western side Zaffre felt pretty safe. Helping her parents run the farm is her only duty and she was happy to do it. Things change, however, when her father gets sick. Bedridden he can't help with any of the dawn til' dusk work, and Zaffre is unsure if she can pick up the slack. Worse is the sudden death of their animals. With the autumn harvest on its way and already two horses down, things look bleak. The war still wages, and as more troops die Vale Havon grows more desperate. The Royal family is willing to do anything to save their kingdom. To keep their power. So, the drafts begin. Suddenly the Western border is not safe anymore. Zaffre knows if she's sent to fight her mother can't keep the farm running. So she goes into hiding. Except no secret stays hidden, and Zaffre's role in the world is far bigger than simply harvesting plants. Everything just got a whole lot more complicated. Excerpt: A cold sweat began to trickle its way down her back and a shiver traveled up her spine. It was when the hair on the back of her neck stood on the end that she realized something was wrong. She took a few more steps forward in the dark forest when she finally comprehended the thing that flashed a warning in her instincts. The sounds of the woods she'd been hearing all night, the birds, crickets, and scuttering squirrels had all gone silent. That only meant one thing, and one thing only, a predator was on the hunt. This time it wasn't her. *Trigger Warning, the book contains, violence, blood, fighting
A Promise of Blood, The Tales of Old by FreeReinVikings
4 parts Complete
Aricia, born to the greatest house in Exelia and heir to its throne finds herself at the centre of the city's greatest recorded conflict, everything she loved torn from her. Never knowing blood and death, she is thrusted into a gruesome new world, one of which she is willing to indulge in for Exelia's lawful right of freedom. Carnade became the commander of the exelian military as a young man due to his vast knowledge and skill in combat. His loyalty is unmatched, willing to do whatever it takes to defend his family and the rightful exelian heir, even if that means opposing his king. Vermont, known for his honor and his code, so much so that he was named the golden warrior, will fight for his cause, for the defectors, even if that means forcing Exelia to submit. Outraged by the dishonors of war, he will do his damnedest to precede with caution, but when there is conflict, there will always be men looking for exploitation. Joba, seeking vengeance against the soul devourers who took his family from him, joined the defectors and brought them to Exelia. This may have been his greatest mistake, forcing him into a moral dilemma. On one side, duty tells him to fight for the defectors and seek vengeance, but love tells him to fight for Exelia. No matter his choice, he will have to live with the consequences. This is A Promise of Blood, By Dominik Sorensen. I hope you enjoyed the introduction, the first three chapters.
