When Earth is destroyed and every human has to move to another planet to survive, what should they expect? 12 years later, a society has formed and the government are chosen by those who have powers due to the atmosphere. Most of the chosen are people with good intentions and use their power for good, but there are those on the special council who wish harm to those on the planet. Adira is one of the chosen, and her powers are different from the others... so what happens when she gets bitten by a stranger one night, or when she doesn't see her shadow in the mirror, but that of a bat's. Follow Adira on her quest of revenge for her sister's death, and proving herself. Will she find love? Or will her thoughts of revenge stop her from confronting her feelings?

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models.
