Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. The Guy Who Created The Musical
This idea was inspired by Joe Moses' initial idea of what The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals was about. Towards the end of Starkid's 10niversary 16 hour livestream, Joe Moses shares what he thought TGWDLM was about. From there, I decided I would write a story based off of it. In the tiny town of Hatchetfield, coffee loving scientist Henry Hidgens falls in love with a cute little barista named Emma Perkins. Using his scientific skills, he turns Hatchetfield into a romantic comedy musical. But everything doesn't go to plan and things get ugly.
