Started with a Promise

"I love you baby girl" He looked down at me. He slowly got up after seeing my eyes were getting heavy and headed to my door.

"Love you too daddy" My eyes closed shut and heard the click of the door shutting.

That night I had my first nightmare, and I never saw my daddy again....
