Man is born with two fears, and two fears only; the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Then they learn to fear each other, and rightfully so.

Morituri follows a paramilitary group of survivors trying to restore order after a biological attack ravaged the US, turning man against man, and causing mass bloodshed across the world. But there's something, some one, in their midst that may be more dangerous to them than the virus itself.

Throughout history, civilizations have prophesied of cataclysmic events that would wipe out the races of man. Modern movies and conspiracy theorists have for years warned of an apocalypse on the horizon, be it a war or economic collapse, or a spill of biological waste that contaminates and eradicates the populous. So engrained are we that there IS an apocalypse coming, a term has been devised for those getting ready to protect themselves and their families with any means necessary during this time. Preppers. Follow the preppers. And pray.

There is something coming. Where do you fit in to the apocalypse? Are you the reason it's coming? Will it be your mistake? Or are you the one trying to save everyone else when it happens? Could you fight if you had to; could you kill? Look to Morituri. Find yourself in it. Because you're already there. We're all already there...

Enter their world if you dare, but take with you your wits and any training you received in the military; you're going to need it. Sometimes being prepared just isn't enough. Good luck and God speed.

The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies, Run! or its characters, nor do I own Dystopia Rising LARP. This is just my Rookie's reaction to the Dystopia Rising New Adventure in the Zombies, Run! App.

It's funny, really. It's funny how as kids we always played these zombie games and thought it would be so cool to be in a zombie apocalypse. We tried to figure out who out of our friend groups would die first, and who would live to the end. We were fascinated as young boys by the shooting games where you would blow a zombie's head off without a second thought. They were monsters. Nothing more. You barely thought of how they were once human. Because they weren't. It was just a game. Or it was just a movie. But when it became real life, you could see the family photos of the zombie you just killed. You could see the dead children who had been beaten to death by their own mother. The same mother whose skull you just bashed open on her kitchen floor for trying to rip your jaw apart. They were all once alive. And the outbreak ended their lives. They could have been your cousin, your friend, your neighbor. It could have been you. But you hold on to the fact that it wasn't. And because of that, you go on. ___ Set in 2037, two years after the worldwide bacterial infection called The Cure started, Mason Martinez and his two buddies try their best to survive in this post-apocalyptic world. But when Mason finds out about a so-called "safe zone" about 4 cities from where he stands, Mason strives to find it. Even if that means he has to cross the 4 main factions of his area. The Lab Coats, The Mercenaries, The Raiders, and the worst of all, The Salvation. And to find this safe zone, Mason is willing to do whatever it takes.

They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? In February of 2009, a man went to the hospital to be treated for a brain tumor. Upon further examination, another unknown virus in this man's brain and blood was discovered. On scanners, it looked like a black blob of darkness, sparking slightly in the stems of his brain. This was completely new to the doctors. Proper tumor removal was never performed, in fear that this strange, eerie darkness was dangerous. They didn't even have time before the patient's brain shut down. But they continued their research, finding that the brain started up again. Now, the virus spread to the patient's entire brain. It created a spark in his system that caused him to reanimate. While that may seem joyous, it took a violent turn for the worst. They thought the patient would remember his past life, and went to perform several tests on him. The patient attacked the doctors and nurses and tore them limb from limb. Blood sprayed everywhere as the once kind person was devouring their insides. They tried detaining him but bullets had no avail on him- Until stricken directly in the head. The infection spread throughout the hospital, until people out on the streets were biting and eating each other left and right. Some people were terrified of all of this. Others were amazed. Further research continued on this unknown virus that wiped out mankind. How far will man go to save themselves or others? How far has humanity fallen down the drain? Can people change for the better, even the worst people? Or is all hope truly lost forever? Is everyone doomed? Shall we resort to our primitive ways? !! Standing next to a stone wall and an apartment building Ranboo was worried, terrified even, I mean he would obviously be because he was being chased by a hoard of zombies. He picks up his communicator to talk to GL, his group. He was heavily breathing and fumbling with his com. "Hello GenLoss, this is Endwalker," Ranboo said into his com using his code name, you never know, the zombie apocalypse was impossible but here we are. This calmed his nerves just a little because it's like he's talking to his friends and not in immediate danger, which he was. "i'm at-" Ranboo looked around for a street sign, "Bsoisos Street, in district Snowchester I need back up on the supply run." Ranboo takes a look at the hoard while he waits for feedback, the zombies are coming closer to him, the feedback doesn't arrive so he tries talking into the com to at least to calm his nerves. "Hello?" Ranboo tries again and the only sound that is heard is the growling sounds of decaying, or broken vocal cords making the notice of the zombies impossible to ignore and the increasing fear come back tenfold. "Hallo." a British voice calls out its sounds shaky and unused, and it feels unreal, it sounded young, like him, maybe there was a chance that there were other survivors that are the same age as him, and a growl of the undead reminds him that he is still in danger's grasp. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TW! Gore (more things will be added!!!) this was an idea I had in around 2020-2021 so it's going to reference stuff from then! This is a beeduo fic as well as a Zombie Apocalypse fic! if there are any mistakes let me know and ill fix it. Btw Idk much about the human body cuz I wasn't taught abt it alot.(This fic most likely will be forgotten abt since I don't go on Wattpad often) the fic was inspired by the song, Hello Hello by Elton John (ft. Lady Gaga) so listen to it while reading!

*THE UNEDITED VERSION* Beware of typos, errors, and general mistakes. This is a very, very rough draft. "I live in a place called Compound 4. We are one of ten different compounds placed at strategic locations around the US. It's been thirteen years since the virus overtook humanity, turning about ninety percent of us into zombies. I'm not sure how it started exactly; that's classified information. I do know that in order to save what was left of the human race, the president at the time took a bunch of really smart people and kids and relocated them into new 'protected' cities. My father was one of those really smart people. I was only five at the time, but I knew what was happening." Within the walls of the compound, Jay makes stupid mistakes, mistakes even she doesn't understand, putting everyone inside at risk. All because she can't shoot someone. All because she misses the wind in her hair, the flowers on the hillsides, the sound of crickets at night. All because she's different, the only person untouchable by the Virus. When the mistakes begin to duplicate, and a girl shows up who knows her name, everything begins to change in Compound 4. Highest rank in Science Fiction: #9
