Before the crash, Veronica is a nineteen-year-old with dreams of saving lives. She meets Sandi, a spunky girl with colorful hair and a side of mischief. They get themselves into trouble, and Veronica soon finds herself skipping classes and spending nights with strange men. Conor, a high school dropout, gets by fine with his fathers inheritance. He lives in a rural neighborhood, and throws major parties almost every weekend. Lucinda Quant, a reality show star, finds herself in big trouble after a secret she's kept so long finally gets out, and it might be enough to end her career, for good. Based off The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood, and an entry for The Heart Goes Last Fiction Contest. The contest closed, but I'm going to keep this up for anyone who'd like to read it, but I won't be adding anymore. I do not own any of these characters. Rated Mature. #heartgoeslastfic

***The book is already published on Amazon if you want to own it*** Trying to outrun your demons might just cost you your future. Trying to block out the pain of everyone you've lost in the past might blind you to the one person who's still here in the present. Kathryn is facing the hardest decision of her life: take someone else's life, or stay trapped in her personal hell forever. In just a few months, a complete stranger accepts her more than her family ever did in a lifetime. But... Trust doesn't exist. And being alone? That's where real strength lies. Right?
