70 years ago geneticists successfully engineered the first dragon. Now, cities lie in rubble. Henry 'Hiccup' Haddock and the survivors of the little town of Berk are constantly raided by dragons. After Hiccup shoots one down, a Night Fury no less, he discovers the creatures he has been told to hate may not be the enemy. An AU sci-fi retelling of HTTYD. *Title Subject To Change*

- ORIGINAL VERSION - Hiccup Haddock was a child born on the village of Berk, then to be taken by a NightFury in a dragon raid without a trace. But while Stoick and Valka are trying to live while mourning for their lost son, Hiccup is living freely on a Santuarial island created by an Alpha dragon with his best friend, a dragon, the one who stole him, Toothless. Toothless has always told Hiccup that vikings are cruel, horrible people that kill dragons for the fun of it, and that he should stay as far away from them. But when Hiccup gets caught on a hostile, viking-dwelling island, he doesn't know what to do. The Chief's wife thinks it's unfair to torture a child like this, but when Stoick lays eyes on this boy, he has other plans. Will he and his dragon escape in time? No, because that is out of character for her. Also I will be putting in my own types of dragons. Only three. Marley(Wind) Cutters, Feather Wings, and Prodigious(tall) dragon. On the island of Dumais, a baby was sent across the sea as her homeland was engulfed by war. A woman, rather a mother, traveled with the baby girl. The two sailed across stormy seas before landing on an island called Berk. This island is were the baby grew and found herself with mixed feelings for the dragon beast and for a certain boy, rather the Chiefs son.
