Fire Emblem: The Ballad of the Blade
22 parts Complete Since the beginning of its creation, two powerful deities ruled over the continent of Sanasa: Meru, the ivory dragon goddess of purity and life, and her brother Mortabe, the ebony dragon god of corruption and death. It was Meru's job to keep the land fertile with her holy lance Anima, and it was Mortabe's job to control overpopulation with his accursed blade Nymphe. For millennia, the land of Sanasa was perfect. The land was rich, life was bountiful, and people were happy. Extremely powerful and successful kingdoms arose all over the continent. But Mortabe grew sick of life, sick of the humans, animals, and dragons. He grew envious of how humans could flourish and grow, and jealousy and greed began to develop in his heart. Taking the form of an all powerful human, Mortabe brandished his accursed Nymphe, and crushed kingdoms left and right. Everywhere he went, life was drained, and civilizations were dying. Saddened by her brother's destructive ways, Meru waged war on her brother Mortabe. The two fought for years, and eventually, Meru had sealed away Mortabe within his sword; and so Meru hid the blade away, deep in the heart of Sanasa, far enough that she hoped no one would ever find it...
Years passed, and life slowly began returning to Sanasa. Kingdoms were rebuilt, and civilizations reborn. But now, after several millennia, the seal on the accursed blade Nymphe has been broken, and darkness begins to creep upon Sanasa once again. This story follows the story of Arturo, marquess of the kingdom Arqferi, as he attempts to combat the re-growing forces of Mortabe, and stop the corrupted god from crushing Sanasa, potentially once and for all...
