When Blake finds out the news about his parents' unjustified unemployment, he's angry and provoked. And what better way to get back at the Wrights', than to find his way into their business secrets? But to achieve this, he first needs to find his way into Theo Wright's heart. The Step Brother
Willow Clarke has newly turned 18. Straight A student, good girl, she's pretty much planned her whole life out down to the smallest of details, with dreams of going to college and becoming a hard working lawyer fighting for justice. Her focuses are on that and supporting her single mother, Elena, whose been her best friend her whole life. Jace Quinn, on the other hand, is 18 year old football captain. He seems to have it all. He's a rule breaker and the world lets him get away with it, because look at him. Guys want to be him and girls want to be with him. Underneath the surface, Jace struggles with anxiety, insomnia, and the grief of his mother's death. His widowed father, Jack, is out of touch and doesn't know how to connect with his son other than pushing for big college scholarships. What happens when their single parents meet and hit it off at a parent-teacher night? Their worlds are turned upside down when Willow's mom and Jace's dad become engaged. Thus throwing the two teenagers into a new life as step siblings. Will they become the perfect family their parents want them to be or will Jace introduce Willow to a whole new world of forbidden desires and choices? **There is no blood relation between the two main characters, nor were they raised together. Step Brothers
Jace Summers is someone who is always true to himself no matter what anyone else thinks of him, and he's proud of who he is. He has pastel pink hair, stunning deep brown eyes, and a sweet and silky voice that makes all of the girls swoon. Too bad he's gay though. He has been out since seventh grade and is thankful he has never gotten hate for it, not that it would have bothered him anyway. Alec Walker is someone who everyone knows and likes, though he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He has brown hair, hazel eyes with the perfect mix of brown and green, and his side profile could make angels swoon. Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying and throws his personality in everyone's faces. Those seem like very small or petty things that they could easily overcome by having a conversation, but both are too stubborn for that. It is a mutual hate that neither will give up. But when one day they get news that seems like the end of the world... it turns out to be the best thing that has happened to both of them. Some of the topics touched on in this story include LGBTQ, loss of loved ones/death, sexual assault, thoughts of self harm/suicide. Some of these are touched on a lot while other are more implied. If any of these topics make you uncomfortable or are triggers for you this may not be the story for you. My intent is not to offend anyone or bring them down by the things written. I simply do my best to stay true to the characters I create. For those of you who are still interested, this story will be a roller coaster of emotions for you. I say that as a fellow reader who loves getting invested in characters and their stories.
