After years of living on the road teenage Dolores Osorio, or Domino for short and her mom return to their home of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Being in her home town is welcomed and upon arriving she sees nothing's changed from landscape to the town being full of greasers.
A chance encounter at the movie theater brings her and Ponyboy Curtis together and with time they become close. Together they navigate the world of socs and greasers and learn about growing up and the sometimes awkward, but magical thing that's love.
