!!! ATTENTION MALE STUDENTS OF BADER UNIVERSITY !!! Are you a participant in the tradition of violent, albeit organized, sport? Are you a capable writer? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then this opportunity is for you. Get paid to help one of your fellow students finish her debut novel. Golfers and video game players need not apply. ***** Weston Maguire is Bader University's star hockey player and an all-around good guy. Everyone knows him. Nobody knows Cassie Belford---not really. She's an aspiring novelist with a talent for making sure people don't stare long enough to see what she's hiding. But when Cassie places an ad for help with her book, Wes is the guy best suited for the job. And before she knows it... he's seeing right through her. Written through emails, text messages, diary entries and notes, In Your Own Words highlights the complexity of being vulnerable and the beauty of writing our own stories. In an honest depiction of friendship, love, and trauma, some subject matter could be triggering for readers. Content warnings are at the beginning of sensitive chapters. If you're looking for endearing characters, palpable chemistry, and original storytelling, look no further.
