"In a mad world, only the mad are sane."

Alazne Rainsford was a well-renowned, teenage psychic medium who traveled across the nation to help all spirits - good or bad - find peace. Many people knew her name and supported what she did, calling her a hero of the Afterlife; others sought to ruin her name by exposing her for a fraud. However, when she encounters the spirit of her ancestor 14th Century ancestor Kiena Bennett, she must travel halfway around the world to Venice, Italy. It is there that she will arrive at the most notorious paranormal location in the country, and where her life will take a turn for the worst: Poveglia Island.

Finding the truth of Kiena’s story starts to become an obsession for Alazne, going to fatal lengths to help her ancestor. What if that obsession went too far to stop it? What if she disregarded all safety in order to help an unsettled ancestor, who held a dark secret after more than 600 years of imprisonment in Limbo and trying to keep Alazne away from the island? Some spirits, she’ll come to learn, are often better off left alone and unfound.

Soon it becomes apparent why: Mason is a werewolf. But when a fight turns into a sudden kiss that neither expects, Kieran's feelings for Mason turn to attraction in an instant. None of it makes sense - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, so why does Kieran find Mason so irresistible? He knows that each kiss is dangerous, each bite is unpredictable...
