[Now With Photos!] Who are you? No, I don't mean your character. Who are you? I wonder this question every time I go to a con. I try to find a quiet spot and people watch. And my eyes are always drawn to the cosplayers: the young, the old, the experienced, the store-bought newbies, everybody. But even as I pose and smile, as the flash goes off, I wonder, who is this person? This person standing next to me, who has devoted so much time and so much more money to becoming this character? What is it about you, yes you, that compels you to travel, sometimes very far distances, to a con and give up an entire weekend to pretend to be someone you are not? It took me a couple of years to get the guts to start actually asking these questions. When I did, I wasn't disappointed. And that's where Masks Off came from. This is my first story that I have have created so go easy on me. I'm no writer. I also got school so I might not get to work on this book as often as I would want to but let's see how that would go. So for the setting/scene of this story is that Reginald has been leader of the Top Hat Clan for about 10 years along with working his Right Hand Man, Right Hand Man(RHM and which is his real name since I don't know what his darn real name could be). During those about 10 years of working with each other both Reginald and Right Hand Man catch feelings for each other but aren't sure if the other would feel the same for them. Also Henry and Ellie have be in the Top Hat Clan for about 4 years and started to notice that both of them had feelings for each other but decided to wait until they would either confess to each other or tell them both once Henry and Ellie get impatient of waiting for them both to confess, but tease them about it when they get the chance to. Oh and Right Hand Man has his cybernetic enhancements in this story as well. I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. This wasn't supposed to become personal, but it did.

A while ago the question of what if an alien is so cute, a straight guy can't help but still fall in love depite the alien being male, came to me. And of course, the idea for a new story was born soon thereafter. This is the result, my latest novel set in the science fiction Aoyu Universe as of this writing, and the first (and at this time only) gay/bisexual romance themed story that I've written. --- During the Earth-Silth conflicts, two commanders of opposing warships played a game of chicken at one of the outer known solar systems, the result being a head-on collision and two ships fused together at the bows. After the cease fire agreement plans were made to salvage what they could from the ships and Alain from Earth was sent as part of a two man crew to recover components from the Earth vessel while a team from the Silth would handle theirs.
