Missie and her younger sister April, live in a town called Livingston. Missie is around the age of seventeen, and April is almost five. The sisters have never met their real parents being as they were given away at birth. Before April was born Missie lived with the girls aunt, Carla. When April was born, Missie went into the Foster system with her younger sister. The Foster family that adopted them is not all that great. There Foster mom, Penny, uses them for work purposes only. And the Foster dad, Hank doesn't even remember they are their half of the time. It make it even harder with Missie and April having a secret. The sisters are not all that normal as you think. They may have a small thing about not being human. Yes, they are vampires. If you are a vampire, around the age of ten you notice thing differently, you get highly allergic to pumpkins and get strange cravings for any sorts of food that are red. Missie just try's to go thought life normally but it docent alway work out for some people.

Rose has a secret and no one knows what it it, but no one really cares, but her secret follows her around, literally. Rose lives in a world where there are only kids (Well under 20) and right before there 20th birthday they get taken away, no one knows what happens to them but the all suspect that there dead. Rose is 19, meaning she doesn't have long before it her turn. Everyone gets their blood drawn daily, but no one knows why. The only a adults are the Helpers (the doctors) as Rose likes to call them and Them but Rose doesn't ever know if they're human. When she gets assigned to a doctor she starts asking questions; questions that will hurt the people she cares about.
