A long, long time ago, there were six dragons that ruled heaven: the Crimson Dragon, the White Dragon, the Blue Dragon, the Green Dragon, the Yellow Dragon and the Dark Dragon. The six dragons were great friends and their bond was so strong, it was unshakable. 
However, the Crimson Dragon came down to earth and became human. He fell in love with humans and led a kingdom, the Kohka Kingdom. But not long after he became human, he had to fight the humans. The people's hearts filled with evil, they forgot the gods, and the kingdom fell. The Crimson Dragon, too, was seized by power-hungry people. Just before he was about to get killed, five dragons came down from heaven. They begged him to annihilate the humans and come back to heaven. However, he refused and the five dragons were devastated. Not wanting to lose him, the five dragons gave their blood to human warriors to give them power. 

These warriors protected the Crimson Dragon until he died. All of them were overwhelmed with sadness, either because they lost someone important or the dragon within them was crying. Soon after the dragon's death, these five warriors thought that the world cannot handle their powers so they went and lived separate lives. No one heard from them ever since. 

Until, Princess Yona was born. She ended up finding the four dragons. She thought she found all the dragon warriors because the legend she was told was there were four, not five.

A voice came through to my head, more a whisper than a normal voice. Uncle Waller stood up and walked away. I embraced the cloak, my tears falling on it, as I remembered my fathers scent. "I don't know what happened... But I promise you this Father, I will find the person who did this to you, and make it pay for taking you away from our family". I swore with anger burning in my heart. "I must grow strong, just like Father, Uncle and Grandpa... I will become The strongest Warrior there ever was, you will see Father..." I walked back inside the house. "Allen... You have promise..." But unlike the four dragon warriors the purple dragon is unrelated to them but continues her duty to serve her king. She is said to have the tail of a mighty dragon. This grants her the power to fully shift into a full grown purple dragon. Not only that, she stole many hearts of those in the Kouka Kingdom. Including the Four dragon Warriors. But once their beloved King died , the warriors left the castle and went their separate paths. The Purple Dragon wandered to places where she could settle down and rest, but no matter where she went she was seen as a monster for her tail and her powers. She was hunted by villagers to be killed. Therefore, she was forced to live hidden in a cave near the mountains to stay hidden. She lived a very long life until the next Purple Dragon warrior was born, and the next, then the next. But when Yona comes seeking for the Five Dragon warriors, she stumbles upon a mysterious purple haired girl with a dragon tail.
