"It was then that my power made its entrance. Time slowed and I stood in the middle of a frozen chaos. My mother was bent over in the back of the room, mid-scream. My father stood across from me, a bullet suspended in the air between us. Slowly inching their way towards me, were the three bullets from the officials and I had more than enough time to step aside. I watched as my bullet hit its target. I watched as it slowly tore into my father. I watched as he fell to the floor in slow motion and then, time corrected itself and the soldiers rushed forward to capture me."

In an effort to save her mother, Madi kills her abusive father and is sent to prison just as she discovers her powers. While incarcerated, Madi hones her skills, not knowing that the officials are watching her every move. When they come to recruit her, will she rebel against them? Or will she go along with their plans?

Living in a deteriorating world and a place without justice, Madi tries to navigate the seas between right and wrong and learns that sometimes, doing the right thing is not always easy.

Out of the Shadows

12 parts Ongoing

Alexandra Dalton lives in a crumbling post-apocalyptic wasteland ruled by The Enforcement and terrorized by the Legacies, power-wielding humans corrupted by their abilities. But when a deadly encounter thrusts her into the heart of a war for humanity's survival, secrets of her father's past begin to surface, forcing her to choose: fight for the light or be consumed by the darkness. In a world where entire cities can burn in minutes, and nobody can truly be trusted, can she protect her mother and sister-and uncover the truth before it's too late? Excerpt: "Dad?" My voice was no more than a whisper. The tendril caught the woman just as she was about to hit the ground, and in one harsh movement, it tugged her into the darkness. The blackness engulfed her screams, swallowing them completely. I could feel my father pulling on my wrist. His grip was so tight it hurt. Everywhere around me, people were dying. Their shrieks echoed in my ears, and I couldn't seem to move. My hands started to shake as I looked toward the dark sky. The silhouettes of bodies in the air, lit eerily by the theme park's neon colors, littered the sky like stars. This wasn't just chaos-it was the end of everything we knew. Chapters released weekly!
