400 years in the future humans have discovered the secret to eternal life, but it is only available to the very rich. In this society people who can't afford their life are given a choice to either become fuel so that the rich can continue to be eternal or they can join the military and fight for the rich. This has happened for everyone, except Chris, when Chris was born he was spared the life of the poor by a generous man named Prometheus. When Chris discovers his past he will have to make a choice, continue a life of comfort and become eternal, or refuse the rich comforts and join the poor to abolish the rich and allow everyone to be eternal. Chris is, The Defector.

Tarvik Getting called into an emergency meeting isn't how I would choose to spend the afternoon, but as Commander, I'm obligated to attend. Small beings landed on our planet, and per my king's orders- We're keeping them. My people are excited to have new pet types- cute ones at that- but I suspect they're capable of more than my king believes.
