Silently We Fall

No one gives us a second look. The down trodden, the shadowy souls of the streets.
We're neglected, starving, near death. Seen as the unworthy beings of society.
Starvation is our closest friend.
Of course no one would notice if we went missing. Except maybe that the streets and alleyways were less crowded, and less tired eyes were watching from the shadows.
We are the children of mankind. Turned into experiments. Turned into creatures of unimaginable power.
