She's Pretty

A boy has liked a girl since the third grade. He's certain that she likes him, too, but in their school zone, the children separate in middle school and come back together in high school. The boy plans on making the girl his girlfriend in high school, but the obstacle is that they are different races. That doesn't sound like much of a problem to you, but in their little town in the south, it can be a big deal.
