It's just going on and all he can do is watch time pass and hope that he never has to interact with people who hate him for existing. That is, until he discovers that someone else with the malfunction is murdering people like him, and by discover, he means damn near killed by the psychopath. In order to stay alive and off the killer's radar, Silas moves in with a doctor and an officer who helped save him, but as he spends time with them, Silas discovers a side to normal people that he's never gotten to see.
