Ariel's best friend Alisha disapeared four years again and since then Ariel's life has been a mess. They used to be the most popular girls in Grover High. Now, Ariel's ranking in popularity has been going downhill. She feels totally apart from everyone else.
But one night a man apears at her door and claims to know where Alisha is and whispers quickly, "Can't talk now. Meet me tomorrow at the corner store."
The next day Ariel is stunned when she discovers him dead. He was murdered by some one who didn't want him to help her.
