Warning : spoiler of information that we learn only on The Death Cure (book 3)
Newt can't do it anymore. Being in this place, feeling empty, with nothing to hold on to. It's too much for him, he has lost hope, until a greenie shows up. He's kinda different, he's curious.
It's just a short story.

In the End (Newt x reader)
(This is the final book to my Newt x reader series. The first book is 'In These Walls' and the second is 'In the Scorch') According to WICKED, the trials are now over for the Gladers, but Thomas is locked away in a room and (y/n) hasn't been able to see Newt since they got back from the Scorch. WICKED also promises to give back the memories to the Gladers and reactivate the special qualities each pair of partners had been given. Will their questions finally be answered or will they all have to keep running? (I own none of the characters, only the plot.) Never Leave - Newtmas
So, I watched The Maze Runner: The Death Cure last week - and I am so not okay with that ending! Newt should have survived! So I've taken matters into my own hands and re-wrote the ending. With Newtmas being eventually canon of course! or Where everything's the same except that Brenda, Minho and Gally arrive a minute earlier to save Newt's life and even make it out of the city with the perfect cure made from Thomas' blood. Oh and don't worry if you find the same story on ao3. I've posted it there, too.Complete

CAUTION: Spoiler alert! Do not read if you have not finished The Maze Runner series. Newt has been shot. He's dead right? WRONG. Thomas missed. Newt has a chance to be reunited with the Gladers and finally be safe once and for all. P.S I am a terrible speller so I apologize in advance ;) Cover by: stephcutiesComplete

They finally got to the safe haven. Fortunately, Newt survived and Teresa survived. Thomas starts acting stranger and more distant every day. He gets some memories back from before the maze and remembers about the supernatural. It's even scarier - what he's going through - because he recognizes everything that happens. There's a voice, whispered riddles. Whispers by the same, old, rusty voice. Thomas doesn't tell anyone. He tried to, but something stopped him from talking. The nogitsune is in control again. And he will make everyone suffer for it. Trigger warning!!! Read with caution: this contains (mentions of) suicide, suicidal thoughts, a lot of angst, death, character death, scars, (mentions of) self-injuring...
