The Games Never End

When Haymitch comes home from the second quarter quell, he's different, but who wouldn't be? After being forced into a game that's a kill or be killed system, how could he not lose who he is? Especially when he had to watch his best friend die.
He comes home, hoping to put the games behind him but the Capitol won't let him. They won't let him forget the tributes he killed or the families who no longer have children. Everywhere he turns is another reminder of what happened.

Lilly is Haymitch's other best friend. She watched as birds fatally attacked the girl she considered a sister, Maysilee. She watched as the boy she loved was forced to change so he could avenge her death and come home. She tries to break the barrier he put up but he seems insistent to keep it, locking her out of his life.
Will Lilly be able to help Haymitch? Or is he stuck in the world the Capitol has created to torment his mind?
