Kitten

Alone, cold, depressed and wondering why she's still alive, kitten hybrid Bronwyn waits until sleep takes over her mind, body and soul. She waits until the pain disappears. She waits until her eyes close. She waits until she's drowning in nothing but peace. She thinks she's finally getting the happy ending she's always wanted when she's suddenly being picked up off the freezing, hard ground. "It's okay, I've got you. You're okay."
