When you get lost, you eventually get found. You might be found by something you don't even want to imagine or it may be the best thing in your life. Rachel was lost in a dark world where she was isolated and forced to face her problems. A world where nothing seems to numb the pain, the constant ache in her heart is permanent. She thought happiness didn't exist. It seemed as if everyone else felt happiness, it was like she didn't even have a chance to experience it. She couldn't comprehend why all these traumatic events happened to her. She thought she was all alone in this place we are suppose to call home, she got found by something that didn't want to let go. Life turned into a race, she wanted to face her problems but her body didn't have the strength. So she ran fast, until her past started to catch up to her, once this thing latched onto her it didn't let her go. The only thing that she wanted to scream was Release Me.

She was on her way to the spaceport, to board a shuttle that would take her to one of the spacecrafts that will carry all the humans off world... or so she thought. Instead, she was brought to a remote location, doomed to be left on earth, alone and miserable. Now, years later, she's ready to face the wilderness together with her "kidnapper". From here on, it's not about "what" she finds, but "how" she finds herself. Left behind is a short story that tells about a successful woman who's destiny is different than what she thought. In a mass-eviction of a doomed earth, she's the one left behind. She has to cope with things she never would have thought she would.
