Nico's having a rotten life. His mom was murdered, and his sister soon later. He lives with his half-sister and aunt. Aunt Hera abuses him and threatens Hazel. Nico's only escape is tattoo parlors, motorcycles, and swearing in Italian.

Will's having the perfect life. His mom and dad, Delia Solace and Fred Apollo, are separated, but Will doesn't mind. He's studying to go to medical school and has a few close friends (even if those friends are thieves and pranksters).

When Nico moves into the old house next to Will's, Will wants nothing to do with him.

But sometimes, that gets the opposite results.

A murder is just around the corner, and both boys will need each other to get through it. But the tension grows, and all forces are against them. A death could come at the flip of a coin.
