"I swear to god, Little Angel! We are not heroes!"
The innocent girl had eyes full of hope. Hope she had to rid herself of or she would get our people killed. I yanked her quivering hand into mine. I shoved the sleek black gun into her sweaty palms.
"No! No! Please! You cannot be this way! You're powers! They-they make you all great! Saviors!"
"Shoot him!" I growled into her ear. Little Angel wouldn't grip the gun properly, she wrenched against me.
"I said shoot him or I'll shoot you!" Little Angel started crying. "Why? Why are you crying? Shoot him! Shoot him and kill him the way you killed little Tommy! You murdered your little cousin, why can't you kill him!"
She crumpled to the ground. I whipped out my gun. My kissed bullet went right through him. I scowled at Angel.
"I was not this way before, that you can hold onto if you like."

Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story.
